Position : Legal Counsel

Work Location: Chennai

Experience Level: 3 -6 years

Contract:1 year (Extendable)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing, updating, drafting and advising on general commercial and

other contracts for the supply and/or sale of goods or services agreements

specifically in oilfield services and manufacturing or more generally in the

oil and gas industry.

• General contract management and ensuring compliance with relevant

provisions contained in contracts to which Petronash Global Limited and

its group companies are party

• Advising on general regulatory and licensing matters and all applicable

laws and regulations to which Petronash Global Limited and its group

companies are subject and liaising with regulators where applicable

• Advising on general legal and commercial issues specifically in oilfield

services and manufacturing or more generally in the oil and gas industry

• Adopting the function of a compliance officer and reviewing, updating and

improving internal compliance procedures to ensure compliance with

various corporate governance manuals, compliance manuals and

regulations (including but not limited to FCPA, AML)

• Providing support and legal analysis on ad-hoc projectssuch as acquisitions

/ divestments or the establishment of corporate entities worldwide

• Management of adding & renewing agents, including the required level of

DD & compliance training as/if required

• Develop & update company policies as required, in particular with

legal/compliance matters

• Advising Group on logistics compliance & any DD required with suppliers

• Update & advise Group with KYC policy and process

• Review of all Group insurances to ensure continuous and adequate cover

• Provide support to any adhoc projects as assigned

• to comply with all applicable laws and all directions lawfully and properly

given to her by the Senior Legal Counsel.

Qualification & Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law with strong academic credentials.

• 8+ years of legal experience with some in house experience essential

• Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters

• Good track record of promoting risk management, compliance and

good corporate governance

• Solid knowledge of general terms & conditions in the Oil & Gas

industry

Skills & Ability:

• Maintains confidentiality with proprietary information and all internal

and external communication

• Ability to think on your feet, using judgement and experience to

quickly analyze issues and propose legally and commercially viable

solutions

• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills

• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight

deadlines. Adaptable and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to manage a variety of time sensitive demands

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, good judgment, enthusiasm

and interpersonal skills

Additional skills and abilities required for this position

1.  Job will generally be performed in an office environment. Travel

expected a few times a year based on projects.
