Work side-by side with some of the most innovative and collaborative product and technology leaders on high-visibility initiatives
Represent the Data Science team in product and development meetings, providing data science education and advocacy to stakeholders
Responsible for taking Data Science projects from original concept through final implementation
Ensure adherence to processes, quality standards and deliverables so that your projects are delivered with machine-like predictability
Use critical thinking skills to solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems
Provide transparent communication and interfaces with all areas affected by the program/project including cross-functional stakeholders, business sponsors and vendors – and people will appreciate your honest, forthright communication
Coordinate day to day activities required to deliver a great solution on time
Develop the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria
Help manage risks, dependencies and escalate impediments
Help manage the team’s releases and navigating release requirements
Deliver hands-on coaching of individual scrum or kanban teams in daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, workshops etc.
Skills:
4+ years in project/ program management with a proven track record of managing data science projects in an agile environment
A solid understanding of data science and agile software development processes
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with development teams, product management, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
A proven ability to lead through influence
Ability to drive the release process and collaborate on the roadmap for the future
Ability to work effectively in both strategic and tactical spaces
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated efforts and environments
High emotional intelligence to effectively manage a diverse team working in different environments
Exceptional team building and team management skills, including interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and negotiation
Demonstrated competence in key program management best practices: program planning, schedule construction and management; risk assessment & mitigation, change management and predictive metrics
