Java Developer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand customer requirements, design and develop applications for Point of Sale devices.
• Partner with other specialists to define and implement product features and drive functional and user improvements.
• Work with Project Architect / Lead to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs
• Develop and test the defined requirements with high accountability
• Take ownership in product quality through detailed validation and resolution of issues
• Follow and enforce the coding standards and definition of done as established in team
• Use Agile Scrum Methodology for software development
• Expected to document the implemented feature
• Provide code reviews for all new code and participate in code reviews of other developers

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Core Java
• Proficiency in C, C++
• Experience with Android SDKs would be a big plus.
• Experience on Linux platform
• Knowledge of Scripting language as a plus - Python, Shell, Perl
• Understanding of XML, JSON, HTTP
• Solid knowledge of Design Patterns
• Experience with source control management tools like Git, Azure DevOps, standard SCM development flows
• Sound understanding of areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases.

Educational qualification/ Experience:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
• Experience of 2+ yrs in Software development.
