OUNTABILITIES

ACTIVITIES

• Handling logistics, Transportation and customer services for Domestic & Exports of petrochemicals

• Coordinate and execute full order cycle for domestic and export despatches.

• SAP transactions related to SD, MM and TM modules and creation of SAP Loading advice, invoice, IRN, Ewaybill and other despatch documents.

• Manage truck/container entry, inspection of vehicle documents and physical fitness and scheduling while maintaining defined SLAs (Service-Level-Agreements with customers).

• Coordinate with truck crew for SAP master creation, checking load capacity of trucks and coordinate with warehouse for timely movement for optimum utilisazion of resources and maintain TAT as per target.

• Monitoring the Vehicle Tracking system for trucks and coordinate with vendors to resolve the issues as per defined SLAs.

• Execution of export orders with all required documentation.

• POD verification of delivered shipments and documentation of records of logistics service providers.

• Give training/ tool-box talk to truck crew on safety practices as per guidelines.

• Coordination with transporters, shipping companies, freight forwarders, CHA’s and surveyors etc. for timely completion of shipment execution and documentation.

• Preparation of all the commercial documents related to the supplies and record keeping.

• Preparation of reports from SAP data in xl sheets and sending MIS on daily basis.

• Regular field visit and ensure safety in truck parking and other work area. Comply high safety standards in entire logistics operations.

• Maintain good housekeeping in entire logistics area and upkeep of all the office equipment.

• Maintain inventory of office consumables and stationary for logistics operation.

2. KEY CHALLENGES

• Responsible for evacuation of solid petrochemical products from the complex by getting adequate number of trucks and minimize delay in despatchs.

• Supervision of transporters, loaders and truck crew for following safety procedure meticulously.

• Minimise the idling of loading bays at warehouse and resource optimization.

• Ensure optimum vehicle turnaround time to improve the entire order cycle to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Timely despatch of customer orders and minimise TAT of trucks.

• Optimization of the resources of logistics chain related to petrochemical products.

2. Recommendations to superior:

• Inform Senior Management about possible bottle necks in the logistics operations and give suggestions to overcome them.

• Areas of improvement in Safety practices in logistics operation.

1. Internal Interactions: Head Logistics, Marketing and Sales Teams, Maintenance, Material, Laboratory, SAP-IT and Security team.

2. External Interactions:

1. Third-party logistic (3PL) service providers

2. Service providers like transporters, CHA’s, surveyors, freight forwarders and Vehicle tracking service etc.

6. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

1. Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

• Min. Graduate in Science or Commerce. Additional qualification in Logistics will be added advantage.

2. Functional Skills:

• Min. 3-5 years of experience in logistics and warehouse operation.

3. Behavioural Skills:

• Networking capabilities

• Ability to effectively manage numerous stakeholders

4. Relevant Competencies

• Adequate knowledge of ERP/SAP system and MIS report preparation in MS –xl and email writing.
